    GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

    • Please fill in the personal information sheet in duplicate at the beginning of the year.
    • Ensure that your child comes to School regularly and on time.
    • Parents are expected to acknowledge the circulars through the page given in the student’s diary. They should check the Diary for notes from teachers, assignments, circulars and other information from the School.
    • In case, you want to contact anyone in the School administration, please do call or e-mail the School to seek an appointment with the concerned person at: info.gegs@gmail.com
    • It is compulsory for the parents to attend all the workshops and seminars as and when conducted.
    • It is a mandatory for the students to carry the Diary to School everyday.
    • It is compulsory for all the students to attend and actively participate in all curricular, extra-curricular activities, cultural programs, sports and games unless prevented to do so on medical grounds.
    • No student should leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal.
    • All students will be issued ID-cards, which they must carry with them at all times in School and on School outings/field trips.
    • If a student loses the ID-card,parents can get a replacement from the School after paying the required replacement fee.
    • All food sent from home has to be healthy – non-oily, non-spicy and non-junk. We want to encourage the students to eat healthy food and we urge the parents to support the School in this process, at home and in School. A fruit should be sent daily.
    • The parent or legal guardian of a student must authorize any other adults they will permit to take physical custody of their child during the school day. Such authorization must be provided in writing to the main school office. It is the sole responsibility of the parent to ensure the school office has the correct emergency contact information.
    • We are a secular, liberal community and there should be no distinction in terms of caste, creed, religion, colour, income strata, etc. on the part of the School, students and their parents.

    PARENT-TEACHER INTERACTIONS

    • There will be Parent-Teacher interactions throughout the academic year as per the schedule given in the diary calendar.
    • Attendance of both parents will be mandatory for all these sessions. This will ensure that the parents have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress with all the teachers concerned.
